Alive Studios are now using the new Sony Pregius IMX253 Image Sensors on all our film scanners including 8mm, 9.5mm and 16mm.
We feel this is the best lens on the planet for scanning cine film in HD and 4K.
 
The new lens has 12.37M-effective pixels and is capable of scanning cine film in 10bit HDR wide colour. What this means to you is that we don’t miss a thing – EVERY tiny spec of data from EVERY single cell, with EVERY single colour captured in it’s full glorious detail.
