Editing ProRes video in Movie Maker

“If I order a ProRes version of my transfer, will it work in Movie Maker?”
Answer: yes (if you follow this simple guide) If you order an editable version of your film from Alive Studios, we will give you Quicktime ProRes files. (.mov)

These might play automatically on your Windows PC, or not, depending on what movie player/codec you have installed. If they don’t just play, then downloading this codec will fix that. But the main reason for this support page is to help you get the ProRes files to work in Windows Movie Maker. Movie Maker is a free editing program for Windows, and it needs a little help to import some file types.
