We've just uploaded v6 of our web site which has a brand new ordering system making ordering now so much easier, plus there are now loads more formats for to choose from, so you have even more choice about how you want your films and photos transferred. V6 also sees two brand new pages for ordering gift vouchers, and extra copies of your DVD or Blu-ray.

With over 500 changes to the website, this has got to be the best ever version of this very fine website.

We now transfer to iPad - iPhone & iPod Touch

We can now offer IPod Touch and IPhone support so you can take your movies with you and share them with your friends and family.

Mobile files can be supplied on CD/DVD disc or Hard Drive. So easy to use, just import your movies to your itunes
(exactly as you would import songs from a CD).

Synch your ipod to your computer, and your movies will be on your iPod/iPhone! It's as easy as that.

Transferring to Image Sequences is now available
15th April 2010

You can now fully future-proof your transfer by transferring to an 'Image Sequence'. This format means your future choice of codec is not affected.

So whether you use a Mac or a PC, want to use ProRes or AVI, or any other type of codec, the new 'Image Sequence' option will work for you.

In HD images size will be 1920x1080
In SD Image size will be 720x576

3D Transfers in 2010

High Definition Upscaling on Video Orders now Available

Video Tapes & Camcorder Tapes Upscaled to HD

In an effort to maximize the quality of your film, and to take full advantage of your High Definition TV, we have introduced state-of-the-art upscaling capabilities to our video transfer service.

This is a brand new service just launched in September 2009.

Upscaling is a process that mathematically matches the pixel count of your film to the physical pixel count on your High-Definition TV, which is typically 1920x1080 (1080i).

This can deliver a smoother-looking image, due to the fact that lines and pixels are displayed in a consecutive pattern, rather than in an alternate pattern, giving your film substantially better detail and color consistency.

2009 has been a proud year for the staff at Alive Studios. We have secured jobs to edit home movies belonging to some of the hottest names in Premier League football.

Staying true to our strong confidentiality policy, we cannot disclose any of the players' names, but we feel very honoured to have been chosen once again as the company people can rely on for discretion and privacy.
